Baby's Home

Sierra and mom are home and we're trying to figure this whole sleeping thing out.  Julie has it the worst since she has to express the milk.  Sierra doesn't complain much, which is good. Sierra had a little jaundice when she left the hospital, but just a little yellow, not Bart Simpson Yellow.  As I'm sure some of you know, they give you a blue light to put underneath the baby to break down the bilirubin.  She looks kind of weird illuminated by the light with a big cord coming out of her clothing, but they assure us she will not exhibit cyborg tendencies later in life. Just to be sure, I'm not turning on a wireless devices anywhere near her.  The last thing we need is her making contact with the wrong mothership.  Luckily she passed her bilirubin test yesterday (Thursday) so she's on her way to recovering.

She is so cute, especially when she wraps those little fingers around yours and looks up at you with those dark blue eyes.  And of course her little sounds she makes, especially when she is eating, are adorable.  Here are some pictures.

Watch a video of Sierra.

oh she is beautiful! i was wondering about that blue light (i didn't read at first...) thought it was an early start to becoming a trekky or something. max is very into darth vader right now, just from seeing a little bit of Star Wars on the big TV's at Costco. i see Sieera will get an early intro to that one, too:)
